Struck from a die in solid metal and plated, with enamel colour where the artwork calls for it. The one that feels like it cost something.
- Weight in the hand Struck metal has a heft nothing moulded can imitate, which is most of why it reads as a gift.
- Holds fine detail A die carries thinner lines and smaller lettering than a mould, so intricate crests survive.
- Plating to choose Gold, silver, antique or black nickel, with soft or hard enamel filling the recesses.
- Outlasts the keys Keys are abrasive and metal shrugs that off; this is the longest-lasting of the four.
