The material
Enamel pins
Metal pins struck from a die and filled with enamel colour. The two finishes behave differently: hard enamel is polished flat and feels like jewellery, soft enamel leaves the colour recessed below the metal lines so you can feel the design.
- Hard enamel: smooth and premium Filled level with the metal and polished flat. The most durable finish and the one that reads as a quality object.
- Soft enamel: textured and defined Colour sits below raised metal lines, giving a tactile surface and stronger definition between colours.
- Plating to match the design Gold, silver, black nickel, copper and antique finishes each change the character of the same artwork.
- Small and precise Struck metal holds much finer detail at small sizes than any textile method.
